As mentioned in last week’s Weekly Update, the Foundation’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) recently completed reviews of all ninety (90) proposals received and made a recommendation for each. Proposals were grouped into four batches according to their target categories for the Foundation Council to make final decisions.
Voting has commenced and will conclude no later than 3 January 2020:
- Batch 1 (completed): Tools for Tezos smart contract development
- Batch 2 (in progress): Marketing and Educational/training resources covering Tezos
- Batch 3: Applications built using Tezos smart contracts
- Batch 4: Other proposals
We will communicate verdicts and next steps to all applicants as final decisions are made by the Council after voting on proposals in each batch. Grants for this cohort will be publicly announced after all legal documentation is completed for approved proposals, which is different for each one but typically takes 1-2 weeks following notification of approval. Please contact [email protected] for all grant-related inquiries.
For those eager to submit an ecosystem grants proposal, we will issue our next RFP on Wednesday, 22 January 2020. Additional information such as target categories will be shared at that time.
We’re excited to wrap up this third cohort of ecosystem grants in the coming weeks and announce our support of more projects to further advance the rapidly expanding Tezos ecosystem!
