The Tezos Foundation is pleased to announce that it will issue grants to help make mobile applications and wallets easier to develop and use.
Ackee is a mobile development company located in Prague and Berlin. It has experience working in the cryptocurrency ecosystem and will develop a Tezos iOS development toolkit to enable mobile developers to more easily create iOS applications that interact with the Tezos blockchain.
Papers is the Switzerland-based company behind AirGap, a cryptocurrency wallet with a two-device approach to make secure key handling more accessible and user-friendly. With the Foundation’s support, the AirGap libraries will be made open-source and available as a development toolkit.
Luiz Milfont is an active contributor to the Tezos ecosystem. He previously released the TezosJ SDK library, which enables developers to more easily create Android applications that communicate with the Tezos blockchain. This grant supports Luiz as he continues to contribute to the ecosystem by releasing additional libraries that make the development of applications on Tezos more seamless.
These three grants are the most recent of the Foundation’s efforts to support developers globally. The Tezos Foundation’s core mission is to support the long-term success of the Tezos protocol and ecosystem. By funding projects imagined by scientists, researchers, developers, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts, the Foundation encourages decentralized development and robust participation.
