Following a council meeting today, the Tezos Foundation is proud to announce that Arthur Breitman, an early architect of Tezos, has been appointed to a one year term as a Council Member of the Tezos Foundation.

While Arthur’s support for the project and peripheral involvement has been consistent over the past few years, today’s appointment marks Arthur’s first involvement with the governance of the Tezos Foundation.

Previously, Arthur was a research engineer for Google X and Waymo. In his early career, he worked as a quantitative analyst for Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Arthur graduated from the École Polytechnique and the Courant Institute of NYU where he studied applied mathematics.

“As an original architect of Tezos, no one has a deeper understanding of the opportunities the protocol presents,” said Hubertus Thonhauser, Chair of the Tezos Foundation Council. We are thrilled to have Arthur on board in this capacity where his technical expertise and unparalleled knowledge can inform the council and help fulfill the Foundation’s mission.”

Arthur will join Hubertus Thonhauser, Alexis Bonte, Alice Lloyd George, Lars Haussmann, Anil Madhavapeddy, Chris Wright and Danny Masters on the Tezos Foundation Council, effective immediately.
