Monthly Grant Update - May 2022

Dear Tezos community,

May was another month filled with great news at the Tezos Foundation. We were pleased to announce the creation of the Permanent Art Collection and the Digital Art Gallery curated by Misan Harriman. In addition, our Chief Commercial Officer Mason Edwards took part in a conversation about opportunities for cultural institutions in the Tezos ecosystem with our grantees CADAF and theVERSEverse, and Diane Drubay of TZ Connect. In addition, Roman Schnider, President of the Tezos Foundation, discussed the Foundation’s role in the ecosystem on TezTalks Radio.

In May 2022, the Tezos Foundation received 36 grant proposals. In total, 9 new grant agreements were signed, including 2 community building projects and 2 tools and infrastructure projects. The average acceptance rate from the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) was 8%: out of 49 projects reviewed by the TAC, 4 were accepted. 

The median time from a proposal being submitted until an agreement was signed was 73 days (Average: 79.78 days). The median time from submission to approval was 32 days (Average: 37.78 days), and the median time from approval until the agreement was signed was 55 days (Average: 42 days).

In May, the Operations team also checked in with 17 grantees regarding ongoing projects to support their efforts and assess their project’s performance. 

Finally, the Tezos Foundation and Blokhaus had the pleasure of welcoming 1 grantee during the marketing and communications onboarding sessions.
